What are your rights?

Right of access / right to data portability You have a right to see all the information that we hold about you and/or obtain copies of the information stored in our records or filing systems free of charge. Where data is held electronically in a structured form, such as in a database, you have a right to receive your personal data in a common electronic format that allows you to supply that data to a third party - this is called "data portability".
Right of rectification If we're holding data about you that is incorrect, you have the right to request to correct it. The information will be corrected accordingly with undue delay or it will be noted in the files that the person concerned has asked for a correction.
Right to erasure Under certain circumstances, the GDPR offers the possibility to have your personal data fully or partly deleted. You can ask that we delete your data and where this is appropriate, we will take reasonable steps to do so. However, please understand that the right to erasure is a limited right, and we may not always be able to agree to your requests for erasure. If this occurs, we will explain why your request is not being actioned, e.g. when we must comply with a binding legal obligation.
Right to restrict processing If you believe the personal data we hold about you is inaccurate, or that our processing of your personal data is unlawful, or if you need your personal data for legal action, or have objected to our processing thereof, you can request us to restrict the processing of your personal data to storage only.
Right to object You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation when the processing is based on our legitimate interest or we perform a task in the public interest. Unless we can show a compelling reason why our use of data is justified, we have to stop using your data in the way that you've objected to.
Rights related to automated decision making including profiling

Automated decision-making takes place when an electronic system uses personal information to make decisions without human intervention.

At present, there are no fully automated decision making or profiling systems in use within 黄金城官网’s infrastructure. This means that this right does not currently apply to any processing activities.

Withdrawing consent If we are relying on your consent to process your data, you may withdraw your consent at any time. If the consent is withdrawn, the University may not continue to process information after the consent has been withdrawn. If there is no other legal grounds for processing your data, we will erase it.
Objection to electronic messages If you no longer wish to receive email messages from us, you can unsubscribe from them by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email message you receive from us. You can also unsubscribe by contacting us.
